Washington: NATO On Wednesday, UN Secretary-General Mark Rutte warned that nations like China, India, and Brazil would suffer severe repercussions if they carry on business with Russia. The day before, previous President Donald Trump had threatened to levy a “harsh” 100% secondary tax on Russian export purchasers if a peace agreement wasn’t achieved within 50 days. At a congressional discussion with U.S. senators, Rutte stressed the dangers for these countries. He stated,

“I have a special message for these three countries: if you are the president of Brazil or you live in Beijing or Delhi, you should give this some serious thought because it might seriously impact you in a negative way.
He went on to say,
Therefore, kindly give Vladimir Putin a call and urge him to take peace negotiations seriously. If not, China, India, and Brazil may suffer dire repercussions.
Though he had concerns about the 50-day deadline, Republican U.S. Senator Thom Tillis commended Trump for announcing such robust steps.
He expressed concern that Putin will utilise these 50 days to try to win the war, murder people, and seize territory before taking a more powerful stance at the bargaining table.
Tillis went on to say,
“Given the state of affairs in Ukraine, we have to be clear that whatever you (Putin) attempt to do over the next fifty days will not succeed.”
In order to provide Ukraine the best possible negotiating position, Rutte promised that Europe will raise money. He claimed that as a result of the deal with Trump, the United States would now provide Ukraine with a significant amount of weapons, including missiles and ammunition that are funded by European countries, in addition to air defence systems.
Rutte responded, “Are long-range missiles for Ukraine being discussed?”
Both offensive and defensive weapons are included in this. Although we didn’t get into great detail with the president yesterday, we are discussing a variety of weapons. Ukrainian officials, the Pentagon, and the Supreme Allied Commander in Europe are currently working closely together on this. NATO
