Devendra Fadnavis Delivers Explosive Invitation to Uddhav Thackeray to Join Ruling Mahayuti Amid Roaring Laughter in Assembly

Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis said, “Ambadas Danve’s core ideology is right-wing regardless of where he stands—on the ruling side or the opposition,” amid laughter in the Maharashtra Assembly.

Uddhav Thackeray, his political nemesis, was invited by Fadnavis on Wednesday to join the state’s Mahayuti (grand alliance) coalition, which is run by the BJP.

At a farewell speech for Ambadas Danve, the Leader of the Opposition and a supporter of Uddhav Thackeray’s Shiv Sena party, the idea was made, according to  Devendra Fadnavis.

Fadnavis addressed Thackeray, saying that although the existing ruling alliance would not be able to switch to the opposition until at least 2029, the potential of Thackeray joining the government may be taken into consideration.

“Look, Uddhav ji, there’s no chance of us sitting in the opposition till 2029,” Fadnavis was cited as saying. However, you can think about joining us if you’re considering it. It is up to you. It is worthwhile to consider.

“Wherever Ambadas Danve may be—ruling side or opposition—his core ideology is still right-wing,” Fadnavis continued, to laughter throughout the Assembly. Devendra Fadnavis

The Thackeray Cousins’ Reunion

Shortly after Uddhav Thackeray and his cousin Raj Thackeray publicly reconnected to celebrate Maratha Pride following nearly two decades of political separation, Fadnavis extended this invitation. The decision to make Hindi a third language in Marathi-medium schools was recently rescinded by the Maharashtra government.

The reunion is “the need of the hour” to protect Maharashtra’s interests, according to Sanjay Raut of Uddhav’s Shiv Sena group, even though the two Thackeray cousins have not yet publicly declared any partnership ahead of the impending Mumbai municipal elections.

During the July 5 rally, Uddhav hinted that their renewed alliance was here to stay. “We have come together to stay together,” he stated. We will take control of Maharashtra and Mumbai. Devendra Fadnavis

After arguments with his cousin Uddhav, Raj Thackeray left the unified Shiv Sena in 2005 and founded the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS).
