Game Changer: Mega fans recently reacted negatively to producers Dil Raju and Shirish when Shirish claimed in an interview that Ram Charan did not call him after Game Changer’s box office disaster. The discussion surrounding the Shankar-directed movie, which starred Ram Charan, SJ Suryah, and Kiara Advani, is still going strong six months after it debuted and failed.
Shirish’s Remarks Cause Disputation
After Game Changer failed, Shirish revealed in an open interview with Great Andhra that he felt his “life was over”. Fans of Ram Charan and Chiranjeevi were offended by this statement since it implied that Charan ought to have contacted the producers.
Shirish apologised publicly in reaction to the commotion and explained that his remarks had been misinterpreted. In Telugu, he wrote:
“I recognise that Mega fans were offended by some of my remarks from a recent interview that were misconstrued on social media. Ram Charan, a world-renowned athlete, dedicated his entire time and energy to Game Changer. Megastar Chiranjeevi Garu’s family has long-standing and deep ties with our family. I would never say anything that would harm the name of any mega hero, even Ram Charan Garu or Chiranjeevi Garu. I truly apologise if my statements inadvertently caused anyone any harm.
Dil Raju Stands Up for His Brother
In an interview with 10TV, Shirish’s brother and colleague producer Dil Raju defended him, saying that the dispute was the product of a miscommunication.
Raju explained that Shirish was working on another project, Sankranti Vastunam, while he was more involved in the creation of Game Changer. Raju added that the “lack of coordination” with filmmaker Shankar—especially since Shankar was working on Indian 2 at the same time—was the reason behind Game Changer’s delays.
Raju remarked, “Charan was very patient during the entire process.” But Shirish may have felt emotionally overwhelmed when Sankranti Vastunam became popular. Regardless of how long Game Changer took, Charan chose to avoid taking on any more projects out of respect for Shankar. Shirish, who almost ever does interviews, became upset when discussing Sankranti Vastunam. He merely used that context when he made the statement. He didn’t mean to be disrespectful. He is actually quite close to Charan. He simply lacks media experience, which is what caused this error.

Game Changer’s Box Office Results: How They Stack Up
Alongside Venkatesh’s Sankranti Vastunam and Balakrishna’s Dacoit Maharaja, Game Changer was released during the Sankranti season on a huge budget.
Sacnilk reported the following worldwide earnings:
Game-Changing: 186.25 crore rupees
₹255.2 crore for Sankranti Vastunam (despite a reduced budget)
Dacoit Maharaja: ₹125.8 crore, which is the second-highest earnings for Balakrishna after Akhanda
