HBO Max announced the start of production on social media with the message, “First years, onwards,” 24 years after the first Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, came out. Bel Powley will take on the role of the stern Petunia Dursley, while Daniel Rigby portrays her husband, Vernon Dursley.
Bertie Carvel will appear as Cornelius Fudge, Rory Wilmot takes on the role of Neville Longbottom, and Amos Kitson is set to play Dudley Dursley. Louise Brealey will portray the strict and sharp-eyed flying instructor Madam Rolanda Hooch, while Anton Lesser joins the cast as the legendary wandmaker Garrick Ollivander.
