Under the Centralised Admission Process (CAP), the Maharashtra government has formally opened the online registration process for First Year Junior College (FYJC) admissions for the 2025–2026 academic year.

Starting May 21, 2025, students across Maharashtra can begin registering for FYJC admissions, as the School Education and Sports Department has officially launched the application process. To obtain the application link, students who want to apply for admission to Class 11 can go to the official website, mahafyjcadmissions.in.
Students can register until 6:00 PM on May 28, 2025, after the registration link went open at 11:00 AM today. Candidates can register online during this time and submit their application and preferences..
Important Points to Remember:
When completing their application, students have the option to select a minimum of one junior college and a maximum of ten. Over 9,281 junior colleges with over 20 lakh seats in the Arts, Commerce, and Science streams will be included in this year’s admissions process, according to data released by the State School Education Department.
New Update for 2025:
The fact that the entire FYJC admissions process will be handled entirely online in all Maharashtra districts is a significant development this year. The CAP system was once restricted to five main regions: Chinchwad, Pune-Pimpri, Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), and Amravati, Nagpur, and Nashik Junior colleges across Maharashtra now accept applications from kids in any area without requiring them to physically visit the campuses.

Stream-wise Seat Availability (Total: 20.43 lakh seats across Maharashtra):
- Science: 8,52,206 seats
- Commerce: 5,40,312 seats
- Arts: 6,50,682 seats
Pune Division Alone Has:
- Total: 3,75,843 seats
- Science: 1,03,705
- Commerce: 1,01,971
- Arts: 1,70,170
How to Apply for FYJC Admission 2025?
Step 1: Go to mahafyjcadmissions.in, the official website.
Step 2: Register with your basic information, including your mobile number, email address, and SSC/SSLC roll number.
Step 3: Decide if you want to study science, commerce, or the arts.
Step 4: Upload the necessary files, such as your grade report and, if relevant, your caste certificate.
Step 5: Choose and submit up to ten junior colleges of your choosing.
Step 6: Use the portal to monitor seat allocation and merit list revisions. Important Tip: To prevent last-minute problems, students are strongly encouraged to finish their registration well in advance of the deadline.
