Maruti Suzuki Swift Celebrates Impressive 3 Million Sales Milestone in India Over Four Generations and 20 Years

The Maruti Suzuki Swift has surpassed 3 million vehicles sold in India, marking an incredible milestone over the course of four generations and 20 years.  It all started in May 2005 when Maruti Suzuki introduced a hatchback that was unlike anything else seen on Indian roads, taking a daring leap into the unknown.  An industry that was hardly known at the time was given a boost with the introduction of the “Swift” emblem.

Maruti Suzuki Swift The most recent Swift has a wheelbase of 2,450 mm and dimensions of 3,860 mm in length, 1,735 mm in width, and 1,520 mm in height.  It has a 1.2L Z12E three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 112 Nm of torque and 81.6 PS of power.  Either a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT (automated manual gearbox) is coupled to the engine.
