Poco F7 Set to Launch in India on June 24 — Key Features, Expected Price Leaked Ahead of Event

The Poco F7 is set to launch in India on June 24, but new leaks have appeared that reveal critical facts, including the projected pricing range.

Quick highlights:

The Poco F7 is all set to make its debut in India on June 24.

The projected pricing may be less than ₹35,000.

The phone is rumoured to use Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 CPU.

According to tipster Yogesh Brar, the forthcoming Poco smartphone is anticipated to be priced between ₹30,000 and ₹35,000.  While the company has yet to formally confirm this, the rumoured price is consistent with Poco’s prior pricing approach for its F-series handsets.

Over the past few years, Poco has carved a niche for its F-series by offering high-performance smartphones at highly competitive prices. The F6 and F5 begin at ₹29,999, while the F4 starts at ₹27,999.  To compete with brands like iQOO and OnePlus in the sub-₹35,000 sector, Poco is likely to price the F7 competitively to attract value-focused shoppers.

The Poco F7 has already been advertised on Flipkart, providing an idea of what to anticipate.  One of the striking features is the gigantic 7,550 mAh battery, which may be the largest ever seen in an Indian smartphone.  Poco states that the battery can easily power the device for over two days on a single charge with regular day-to-day use.

This is made possible by silicon-carbon battery technology, which also allows 90W rapid charging and 22.5W reverse charging, thus transforming the phone into a power bank as needed.

Performance:

In terms of performance, the Poco F7 is anticipated to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest and advanced Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. A recent Geekbench listing suggests that one of its variants could be equipped with 12GB of RAM. This new chip is intended for high-end performance, with early benchmark results indicating speeds comparable to the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

For context, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 features a well-balanced core setup, consisting of one Cortex-X4 core, five Cortex-A720 cores, and two Cortex-A520 cores. In comparison, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 appears to be more optimised for multi-core performance, with one Cortex-X4 and seven Cortex-A720 cores but no smaller efficiency cores.  This could result in high computational power but with slightly lower battery efficiency.

If Poco launches the F7 with this chipset for roughly ₹30,000, it might be one of the most powerful phones in its price range.

However, all of these details are based on leaks and have not been officially confirmed by Poco.  So, rather than leaping to conclusions, it’s advisable to wait for the formal launch.

Poco F7

Is this a rebranded Redmi?

The Poco F7 is also believed to be a rebranded version of the Redmi Turbo 4 Pro, which was just released in China.  If true, the Indian version might include:

Features include a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 120 120Hz, and IP68 dust and water protection. It may offer storage options of up to 1TB and support up to 16GB of RAM.

In terms of cameras, sources indicate a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 20MP front camera for selfies and video chats.

If the rumoured specifications and price are accurate, the Poco F7 might compete with other mid-range smartphones in the Indian market.
